The name August Strindberg is not usually associated with children’s theater, but he did write plays for children, including his final Chamber Play. This month “The Black Glove,” a lyrical fantasy directed by Robert Greer in verse translation by Anne-Charlotte Hanes Harvey, is being staged by the August Strindberg Repertory Theatre. In the play, a lost glove mystically passes through the hands of the residents of a large apartment building, spreading Christmas spirit.
This limited engagement runs from December 6 to 16 at the Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, New York City.
