It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Marna Feldt, a friend and advocate of Swedish literature and culture in the broadest sense. For thirty years she was a key figure at the Swedish Information Service in New York, where she helped countless authors, translators, students, professors and others make connections with Sweden.

The latest issue of Swedish Book Review (2021:1) is now available online. The new issue features work by Hjalmar Bergman (translated by STiNA member Margareta Horiba), Kerstin Ekman (translated by Linda Schenck), Elin Anna Labba, Jila Mossaed, Jessica Schiefauer and Axel Åhman, as well as reviews of recent publications in Swedish.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Prof. George C. Schoolfield (1926-2016), prolific scholar, respected and beloved teacher, mentor and friend to many. He will be sorely missed. Read the obituary here.
