PEN America Announces Translation Fund Grants

PEN America has announced this year’s recipients of Translation Fund grants. The Fund, now in its fourteenth year, provides support for translation projects from a broad range of languages, this year including Arabic, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese and Nepali. Among this year’s recipients is STiNA member Kira Josefsson “for her skilled translation from the Swedish of The Arab by Pooneh Rohi, a novel that offers a compassionate portrait of the isolation and humiliations suffered by a former civil engineer in Iran as he builds up a life in his new country.
